'Robot'

Oh, the background is simply breathtaking! The endless roles of textured cloud that are illuminated by the blinding white of the sun are excellent contrast to the dark sky and machinery. The small touches of starlight in the blackness of the sky also provide and excellent contrast as well as breaking up the negative space. The streaks of sun light work as an excellent directional that keep your attention on the girl, as well highlighting the superb backdrop that draws you in.

The attention to detail in her helmet is spectacular, with all the different wires, pistons and bolts. The red lights also add a contrasting touch to the glossy and cold blues. As well as the assortment of textures, provide an excellent visual interest. To add to that, the lighting just seems to glow across he darkness of the picture.

However, her left eye seems slightly out of place, as if it is showing a different expression then her right. The right seems to be gazing ahead, focused and prepared to face her task, were as the left is partly closed, looking down as if ashamed of what she is about to do. Perhaps opening up here left eye more would give her a consistent expression, as well as adding more to the far brow to balance out her facial expressions.

Over all it is a very inspiring picture. I can just imagine her soaring above the clouds in a half-numb trance, as she gracefully carries out her task on this world. Her character seems so real that her story just sings itself to me.
